From Global Climate Change to Low Carbon City Development Model

Global warm climate has become a severe challenge faced by human beings,which is the major hindrance in realizing the goal of global sustainable development.The main reason is that much greenhouse gas is released in consuming energy and the city is the source of giving off greenhouse gas.The city development theory can be applied to the practice depending on constructing low carbon economy and low carbon city development through decreasing carbon release.At present,the theory and practice just begins in the field of low carbon economy and low carbon city,however,it has been a hot point in eastern developed area to plan to construct some low carbon ecological cities,which will produce important influence on the ideas and methods of city planning.The present article aims to understand the city development and planning trends and determine the city planning ideas and methods through sorting and interpreting the low carbon economy and low carbon city development.
