Abstract
The trade sustainable development has become a key factor in China's economic and social sustainable development. With the definition of trade sustainable development as the starting point, this paper proposes a synthetic appraisal index for trade sustainable development constituted of the trade upgrading index, the trade stability index and the trade environmental protection index, and empirically measures Zhejiang Province's trade sustainable development index by using the entropy method, confirming the findings for Zhejiang Province 2002-2004 based on empirical research, thus indicating that this index and the appraisal method are reasonable.
