Abstract
Pavement performance prediction,as the basis of scheduling pavement maintenance and rehabilitation(MR)treatment, will directly influence investment policy.Considering the pavement serviceability, this paper adopts information diffusion theory to establish the prediction model of pavement performance which includes some important factors of reflecting pavement performance. This model changes qualitative pavement performance prediction into quantitative one.The model can deal with randomness of data and is simple and easy to use in practice. An example of future pavement performance is predicted. The prediction results show that the new model is good at predicting pavement performance.
