Abstract
Since the end of the 1980s, the phenomenon of capital flight has existed in China and become more and more severe. The capital flight during 1988-1992 was relatively stable but small in scale, which amounted to less than $ 30billion. It broke through $ 50billion in 1993, and remained stable in a high level during 1993-2000. The capital flight began to rise greatly after 2001. The situation of capital flight out of china is serious. The long-term trend of China's capital flight depends on the elastic exchange rate, successful reform of trade and finance, effective financial supervision, healthy macroeconomic policy and reform of domestic enterprises.
