Abstract
The input and output of the heat quantity in reduction pot of magnesium silicothermic reduction process and the main factors affecting the heat entrance are analyzed from the aspect of heat balance in the cooling area.On the basis of analysis,the measures for reducing the heat loss from cooling water are prospected and validated by experiments.
