Abstract

Many colorectal cancers are thought to be original from adenomatous polyps in the colon.Colonoscopy is a preferred diagnosis option for adenomatous polyps.Advances in colonoscopy technology improve the detection rate and diagnostic accuracy.The treatment of adenomatous polyps includes polypectomy,surveillance,and drug therapy.Polypectomy under colonoscopy is safe and effective,which replaces the traditional open surgery.However,colonoscopy surveillance interval after polypectomy and drug therapy are still controversial.
