Abstract

Increasing farmers’ income is not isolated development in farmers’ income, but an issue that can only be tackled on the basis of overall development in agriculture, rural areas and farmers. To handle the issue, we must seek ways of endogenous growth in agriculture, rural areas and farmers: developing agriculture high in quality, efficiency and value added, solving the problem of return on rural human capital investment and bringing about equal return to equal amount of capital in rural areas, narrowing urban-rural gap in basic living conditions with emphasis on equal access to public services and offering rural and urban residents equal policies and rights, and getting industry and cities to support agriculture, rural areas and farmers.
