Abstract

The causes and control methods are studied for coarse and network carbides during carburizing of bearing steel G13Cr4Mo4Ni4 V. The results show that the coarse carbides formed during carburization can be eliminated by raising secondary quenching temperature or extending holding time, the network carbides formed during carburization must be diffused in carburizing process, which can not be eliminated in secondary quenching process.
