Clinical observation of 100 cases with scapulohumeral periarthritis treated by triple acupuncture and moxibustion

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of triple acupuncture and moxibustion on scapulohumeral periarthritis.Methods 200 cases with scapulohumeral periarthritis were divided into two groups.100 cases in treatment group was treated with triple acupuncture and moxibustion,and 100 cases in control group was treated with common acupuncture.Results In treatment group,the clinical curative rate was 78.00% and the total effective rate was 99.00%,compared to 61.00% and 87.00% in control group,which had a notable difference between two groups(P0.01) .Further more ,there was an obvious superiority in aspect of remissing pain,improving shoulder joint motion,increasing ability of daily life,and shortening course of treatment.Conclusion The curative effect is reliable in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis with triple acupuncture and moxibustion,which can remissing pain quickly and improving shoulder joint function.
