Abstract
Objective To study the growth of neurons on the regenerated silk fibroin films. Methods The attachment, morphology, growth and phenotype of subventricular zone-derived neurons cultured on the regenerated antheraea pernyi silk fibroin films and bombyx mori silk fibroin films were studied in vitro. Results Neurons cultured on the regenerated antheraea pernyi silk fibroin films showed a higher survival rate and complexity than those on bombyx mori silk fibroin films(P0.05). Conclusion The antheraea pernyi silk fibroin films are more suitable for the growth of neurons than bombyx mori silk fibroin films, while both have good biocompatibility.
