On Diplomatic Functions of Jingfu in Song Dynasties

During the Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty,as a local government representing the central government,different from other local governments,Jingfu mainly acted as an assistant and a national foreign body in dealing with foreign affairs,ranging from the logistical supply to the security and even foreign receptions,actively participating and thus playing an irreplaceable role in the foreign affairs.
