Abstract
To discuss the relationship between needling sensation and efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion.The needling sensation is the key for acupuncture efficacy. In the treatment, there are many factors impacting needling sensation, such as the getting qi along meridian, suitable stimulation intensity, needling depth, time of needle retaining and the technique of needle removal.Especially,in the treatment of peripheral nerve system and motor system diseases, the better efficacy can be achieved if the intensity of needling sensation is adjusted selectively and the sensation transmits to the affected area. The physician should seek for a suitable needling sensation in terms of patient's constitution, illness condition and duration and disease stages so as to treat disease more effectively.
