Abstract

Biodiesel is clean and renewable energy, and also an ideal substitute for fossil fuel. The heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel preparation in recent years become research hotspots.Solid base catalyst for biodiesel synthesis especially attracts more and more attention. The research progress in supported solid base and non-supported solid base for biodiesel synthesis by ester exchange at present was reviewed in this paper. The development direction of solid base catalysts for biodiesel synthesis in the future is outlined.
