Abstract
The results indicated that available sulphur content in the soil of Fujian tobacco-growing areas was abundant, with the mean of(34.1±21.7) mg·kg-1(n=557),which ranged from 5.6 to 177.3 mg·kg-1.Among 557 soil samples, about 42.5% of them were in lack of sulphur, whose available sulphur contents were below 24 mg·kg-1.When 3060 kg·hm-2 sulphur fertilizer was applied to the soil, output value of flue-cured tobacco leaves increased, and the quality was high.
