Abstract
Loess plateau has the most serious problem of soil erosion and water loss in China or even over the world and the sustainability in the area is stressed by the worsening environment.Land reverse from farming to forest or grasses and improvement of the ecological environment has been carried out in China.In present paper basic theory and method to rebuild ecosystem and the method,target,strategy and existing problems for loess plateau were put forward based on local nature,economy and social situation.
