Abstract
Objective: To explore the soft tissue profile changes of patients with Angle Class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion treated by Functional Regulator Ⅱ. Method: 29 patients with Angle Class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion were treated by Functional Regulator Ⅱ. Pretreatment and posttreatment cephalograms of every patient were traced to analyze the esthetic characteristic of soft tissue profile. The five indexes of soft tissue were compared. Results: Most of the indexes tended to normal after the early treatment. Conclusion: Soft tissue profile of patient with Angle Class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion is improved after functional orthopedics while changes are different individually. The second stage treatment is still required for some patients.
