Abstract

Knowledge economy is the main economic feature and major industry of information society. It refers to activities to meet the demand of the market or to create new demand in the market with the intention of gaining profits. The industrial structure of an information society is composed of creative industry and intensive industry. The transition from industrial economy to knowledge economy, the author concludes, is realized with support from considerable scale of intensive industry in high technology.
