The Evolution and Development of the Concept of Country Park

Based on reviewing the concepts of country park from the studies from home and abroad, this article found that different places have different focuses on the concept of country park. In order to make an overall summary of country park, this paper considered three main relative problems on country park: the location, the connection with other types of green spaces, and the relationship with urban development and ecological protection. Basing on the above discussion, six indexes, which are location,resources, recreation, design, serve object and urban function, were concluded to define the concept of country park clearer.At the end, the authors concluded their own understanding of the concept description of country park according to the six indexes.
