Abstract
In this paper,an implementation method of the conversion from PCI bus to MIL-STD-1553 bus is presented. In this design,a PCI9052 chip from PLX company,a BU-61580 1553B chip from DDC company and an EP1K100 FPGA chip from ALTERA company are used to implement the conversion from the PCI protocol to the BU-61580 protocol. The Visual C++is used to read and write the PCI bus and then to control the BU-61580 chip to implement the data transmission in the 1553B bus. Finally, the control function of the BC port(bus controller)is successfully implemented by the PCI card of the computer and is tested well in the whole system.
