Abstract

Objective To evaluate the safety of warfarin low intensity anticoagulation after mechanical heart valve replacement method.Method 109 cases with artificial mechanical heart valve replacement method were studied.Patients were observed, followed up to record the prothrombin time(PT) and international normalized ratio(INR),count the rate of adverse reaction, such as thrombosis, bleeding, etc. Results In this group,1 case of thrombosis and 8 cases of bleeding occurred, oral warfarin dose was 3.125 ± 0.5 mg,actual INR value was 1.7 ± 0.5.Conclusion Controlling international normalized ratio(INR) from 1.5 to 2.0 with oral warfarin anticoagulation can reduce the incidence of thrombosis or bleeding, effectiveness and safety is good.
