The experience of Professor LI Zhen-hua in treating stroke from the spleen and stomach

Professor LI Zhen-hua is expert in treating miscellaneous diseases,particularly in treating stomach and spleen diseases.He created the treatment principles: spleen should be invigorating,liver should be dispersing,stomach should be regulating,forming unique system principles based on theory of spleen and stomach.He also indicated that there were close relations between situation of spleen and stomach in middle jiao and the occurrence and development of stroke.The following four reasons could result in the incidence of stroke: The damage of spleen leads to the loss of its function of transportation and transformation,then phlegm is deficiency inside;the deficiency of spleen and stomach leads to the insufficiency of vital qi;the liver-spleen disharmony results in endogenous wind;an unfavorable condition of pivot results in deterioration of qi and blood.So during the stroke treating,it is very important to focus on the application of invigorating spleen and eliminating phlegm,dispersing stagnated liver qi for relieving qi stagnation,regulating stomach and catharsis Fu.
