The Fall and Salvation of the Traditional Music in the Three Gorges Region

Thousands of years saw the accumulation of splendid music culture in the daily fielding work,weddings and funerals,sacrifices by the people in the Three Gorges region,which is the crystallization of the Three Gorges people's labor and wisdom,and an indispensable treasure of traditional culture of our country.However,with the deepening of reform and opening up,the construction of the Three Gorges Project,the implementation of one-million immigration in Three Gorges Area and the change and destruction of regional ecological environment,the traditional music in the Three Gorges Area gradually fell into oblivion,and some into distinction.How to salvage the traditional music in the Three Gorges Area becomes an extremely important step of the current intangible cultural protection work in that region.This paper proposes that a multi-faceted and multi-level rescue work salvation be carried out from the angles of living,education,and humanism salvation,so that the traditional music in Three Gorges region can be developed healthily.
