Abstract
Objective To study the effects of peptide(AFDWTFVPSLIL) on the growth of tumor.Method The action of peptide on vain endothelial cells (ECV304) was investigated through MTT assay,apoptosis assay;The activity of anti-tumor was tested through chick chorioallantoic membrane(CAM) angiogenesis assay and in vivo tumor suppression investigation.Results Peptide could inhibit the viability of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and the neovascularization of CAMs in a dose-dependent manner;Daily subcutaneous injection of peptide at a dosage of 10㎎/kg suppressed the growth of B16 murine melanoma by 68.6% as measured by average weight of tumor in mouse xenograft models of BALB/c mice.Conclusion Peptide had the anti-tumor activity which was acquired through inhibiting tumor angiogenesis.
