Abstract

Iodobenzene diacetate was prepared with high yield and good purity by reacting iodobenzene with 26~30% H 2O 2 solution. [Hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo] benzene was obtained by adding TsOH directly into the reaction mixture without separating iodobenzene diacetate.
