Effects of Lamaza method combined with nitrous oxide inhalation on delivery outcomes

Objective:To explore the effect of Lamaza method combined with nitrous oxide inhalation on delivery outcomes.Methods:330 primiparous women adopting analgesia delivery from January 2008 to March 2009 were divided into nitrous oxide group,Lamaza group and Lamaza + nitrous oxide group.Labor pain,birth process,delivery modes,amount of postpartum hemorrhage within 2 hours and Apgar scores of neonates in three groups were observed.Results:There was significant difference in labor pain,birth process, rate of cesarean section between Lamaza + nitrous oxide group and the other groups(P0.05),but there was no significant difference in Apgar scores and amount of postpartum hemonrhage between Lamaza + nitrous oxide group and the other groups(P0.05).Conclusion: Lamaza Method combined with nitrous oxide inhalation can relieve labor pain,shorten labor process and reduce the rates of cesarean section and forceps birth.
