Abstract

Objective:To investigate the serum albumin level on the prognosis of elderly patients with sepsis.Methods:63 elderly patients with sepsis into EICU of APACHE Ⅱ score, into EICU 24 hours of serum albumin level.Divided according to the normal level of serum albumin albumin albumin group and low group were compared APACHE Ⅱ score, average length of stay and mortality; according to prognosis into the survival group and death group, serum albumin levels were compared. Results:Low albumin group APACHE Ⅱ score, average length of stay and mortality was higher than nor mal albumin group(P0.05); death serum albumin level lower than the survival group[(32.17±18.08)% compared with(23.36± 8.54)%, P0.05].Conclusions:Elderly patients with sepsis, serum albumin level and disease severity and mortality rate is closely related to hypoproteinemia poor prognosis.
