Abstract
It is well recognized that the translators play an important part in the translation practice today.The feminist translation theory,which started in 1980s in the western world,overthrows the traditional translation theory,and from the perspective of gender issues emphasizes the translator's subjectivity,especially that of the female translators.Chinese translation theory adequately affirms the importance of the gender factor in the process of the translation,and some Chinese female translators also try to do some positive translation practices.
