Exploration on Improving the Effectiveness of Political Courses in Higher Vocational Colleges During the Period of Transformation and Upgrading

Higher vocational education in China is in the period of transformation and upgrading. Facing the requirements of the students' employment and technical innovation ability, the Ideological and political course has to play an important role in cultivating students' pervasive ability and integrated quality in addition to the main function of spreading Marx ideology and culture education. The Ideological and political education should cover the practice teaching area. However, due to various reasons, many of them are invalid in current higher vocational college. In order to improve their effectiveness, it is important to insist the irreplaceable of its main function, highlight teaching specific content, create new teaching mode and methods according to the students' characteristics. The establishment of train of thought politics education system is necessary to provide students with full, comprehensive education immersion and humanistic care.
