Development of passenger transport system

With comparative method, this paper scientifically analyzed the process and common regular of passenger transport system evolution, studied the differences of various countries. It is pointed that the technical and economic characteristics of transport modes and passenger transport demand characteristics and their changes are basic factors influencing passenger transport system evolution, national condition is an essential factor forming the discriminations. Analysis results indicate that when choosing reasonable passenger transport system mode, one country must not only grasp passenger transport system common regular, but also must put more attention to its national condition. 7 tabs, 7 refs.
