Abstract
Southest China towns in the Ming and Qing dynasties were areas most developed in commodity economy.As the biggest business society in China at that time,Huizhou merchants,known as Huishang in Chinese,regarded these towns as their business center,and therefore carried out most of their transactions there.By using various means,they gained thick profits.It can be safely said that Southeast—towns economy exerted a great influence on the accumulation of Huishang capital.
