Abstract
Objective: To investigate the SCCmec genotype in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in Xi′an.Methods: Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) was used to determine the genotype of staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec(SCCmec). Results: All MRSA isolates were mecA positive.Among the 147 isolates of MRSA,1 isolate belonged to SCCmecⅡ,1 isolate belonged to SCCmecⅣa,144 isolates belonged to SCCmecⅢ and 1 isolate was not genotyped by this method. Conclusion: SCCmecⅢ genotype was the major epidemic isolates in Xi′an.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
