Paying attention to the application of ecological strategy to construction design

Construction affects ecological environment as well as mankind. It continuously influences the surroundings, users life and especially highly developed cities in our country. Ecological construction will become the main stream in the 21st century. Construction is closely related to the sustainable development which is composed of three important aspects, namely, environment protection, economic development and social progress. Ecological construction should be a part of sustainable development. Facing the main problems in ecological environment and construction design in China, this paper suggests that in the construction design the application of ecological strategy should be paid attention to, and that to promote the ecological construction design should rely on the enhancing of the ecological consciousness of whole society, the strengthening of the communication between man and the natural environment, and the perfecting of laws on the ecological building design.
