Abstract

A novel chelating resin,polystyrene-supported glucosamine(PS-GA),was prepared and its static adsorption properties for Pd(II) such as capacity, dynamics and isotherm adsorption were studied,as well as various factors affecting the adsorption. The results indicated that: This resin had higher adsorption capacity for Pd(II).The adsorption dynamics indicated that adsorption was controlled by the liquid film diffusion.Value of adsorption activation energy calculated was 59.76 kJ/mol.The adsorption isotherms approximately fitted Freundlich equation within the range of experimental concentration. The suitable adsorption conditions were higher temperature. In addition, they had also high adsorption capacity after being regenerated by 2% thiourea in 0.1 mol/L HNO3.
