Abstract
Photocatalytic degradation of phenol solution by P-25 titanium dioxide was carried out in an annular photoreactor. Some important factors, such as pH,quantity of P-25 and Ag-dopping,and initial mass concentration of phenol, were investigated systematically.Experimental results show that the high degradation rate 97.4% can be reached when pH is about 7 and quantities of photocatalyst P-25 are 50 mg and 150 mg if mass concentrations of phenol solution are 50 mg/L and 100 mg/L respectively.Ag-dopping can improve the photocatalytic activity of P-25 that the degradation rate of phenol solution increases by 16.5% when the photocatalyst is modified with AgNO_3 solution (w=10%).
