Clinical evaluation of two methods on fixation of traumatic permanent anterior teeth

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of traumatic loose permanent anterior teeth fixed by orthodontic fix devices and stabilization splint of steel-wire resin.Methods Clinical data of 72 traumatic teeth treated in our hospital from 2004 to 2008,were collected and statistically analysised.All the patients were followed for 6 months to 3 years.Results The pulp healing rate was 63% and 59%.The periodontium healing rate was 79% and 73%.Conclusion The two methods are both effective in the fixation of traumatic teeth.
