Abstract
Objective:To observe the sympathetic skin response(SSR) in patinents with diabetics mellitus. Methods: In 50 patients with cerebral infarction and 50 patients with cerebral infarction combined with diabetics mellitus, the SSR in four regions of hands, feet and heart were detected. Results:The latency of SSR in limbs in patients with cerebral infarction combined with diabetics mellitus was prolonged than patients with cerebral infarction.Compared with controls, latency of SSR showed statistical difference in upper limbs but no statistical difference in lower limbs. The rate of abnormal SSR in lower limbs was higher than that in upper limbs. Conclusion:SSR is sensitive in early diagnosis of neuropathoy in diabetics mellitus.
