There are two standpoints supporting different molds of rural endowment insurance in China, one is family support of old age, the other is social endowment insurance. After the comparison of the two standpoints, we realize that the reason they disagree with each other is that they have different way of thinking. Finally, we point out that because of lacking of public resource, social endowment insurance in rural Chinese is inefficient, and try to give solution to this problem.
