Abstract
In IEEE SEE-Mesh proposal, the routing protocol—HWMP (Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol) has some problems in efficiency and expansibility. Based on proactive routing ideal, making use of the combination characteristic of distributed and centralized routing protocol, a new routing protocol WMRP(Wireless Mesh Route Protocol) was proposed, which extended the flat routing to the class routing architecture like the ip routing architecture in data link layer. Through the network simulation and performance evaluation, the result shows that the WMRP has advantages in performance over the HWMP. The efficiency and expansibility of routing protocol are improved greatly.
