Current status and Improvement of the Performance of Outpatient Pharmacy in Our Hospital

OBJECTIVE To explore the methods for the improvement of the pharmaceutical care quality and the pharmacist's working efficiency of outpatient pharmacy in our hospital.METHODS The performance of outpatient pharmacy were analyzed,including main existing problems,related factors of the influence on pharmaceutical service levels and the pharmacist's working efficiency.RESULTS Out-patient pharmacy should start with the links in the work flow,guiding the patients to queue up correctly,promoting the efficiency and auditing quality of the prescriptions,defining drug usage and shortening the time of compounding prescriptions,learning communication skill and art,lessening the disputes between pharmacists and patients,developing pharmacist's professional qualities,defining the regulation on reward or punishment to reduce the returned medicine.CONCLUSION We should make use of modern science and technology rationally and seek for the coordination of other department to provide good service to patients.
