Abstract

Objective To explore the correlation between HBV-DNA and liver function and other Hepatitis B virus Markers (HBV-M). Methods HBV-M was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HBV-DNA was detected by Northem blotting and liver function of the patients was determined with automatic biochemical analyser. Results The positive rate of HBV-DNA was highly relevant to the 135 patterns. But the positive rate was getting lower along with the increase of age. The ALT level in the positives for HBV-DNA was far higher than the negatives for HBV-DNA or other patterns. In the patients whose HBV-DNA was positive for 135 pattern, HBeAg and HBV-DNA were not only the characteristics of virus replication, but also showed the clinical significance in evaluation of impair to liver cells. Conclusion The HBV-DNA level in serum is a essential index for evaluating replication condition of HBV in hepatitis patients. HBeAg is highly correlated with HBV-DNA. The ALT levels in patients positive for HBeAg and HBV-DNA are far higher than the negatives.
