Abstract

The contents of four residual organic solvents inβ-carotene: ethanol,tetrahydrofuran,n-heptane and toluene, were determined by the headspace capillary gas chromatography which used HP-5 capillary column(30m×0.25mm×0.25μm),FID detector,N,N-dimethylformamide solvent,50℃oven temperature,200℃injector temperature, and 250℃detector temperature. The four residual organic solvents were completely separated, and the sensitivity and accuracy of this method satisfied the requirement of determining residual organic solvent amounts.
