Abstract

For problem of bad NVH performance in hydraulic excavator cab, analyzed vibration transmission path from engine to cab,and judged rotary platform was possible factor to NVH problem.Modal analysis was carried for rotary platform, natural frequency and mode shapes were calculated.Compared result with excitation frequency of engine, conclusion was made that rotary platform resonance was one of influencings to problem. Then, structure of rotating platform was modified to make natural frequency escape from excitation frequency in idle and common operating speed. So that resonance was avoided and NVH performance was improved.Validity of structure amelioration was validated by experimentation.
