Abstract

This paper summarizes the research progress of dam break water flow simulation with finite volume method and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of unstructured grids.And then it introduces the characteristics of the formula for normal numerical calculation flux,reconstruction method of conservation variables and application of limit device.Finally,the boundary and terrain simulation problem for numerical simulation of dam break is explored and the further development trend is proposed.
