STUDY ON THE OCCURRENCE OF SILVER IN THE LEAD-ZINC-SILVER ORE DEPOSIT IN WEST BAOSHAN

Abstract

The lead-zinc-silver ore deposit in west Baoshan is a polymetallic sulphide ore deposit in our country.The mineral type, size grading and distribution characteristics of silver in the mixed ore and the oxidized ore have been studied by means of optical microscope,electronic probe X-ray microanalysis,X-ray diffraction analysis,chemical analysis and so on.Tests indicate that silver occurs in lead and zinc minerals in the form of independent minerals. Galena is the main carrier mineral of silver.
