Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the influence of simulated drought stress on germination of Chuan Baizhi seed and the drought resistance of its seedling.METHODS Some indexes of Chuan Baizhi,such as germination rate,seedling growth,content of MDA,SOD enzyme activity under drought stress simulated were measured by PEG-6000.RESULTS As the simulated drought stress increases,the germination rate,and seedling growth present rising tendency at the beginning followed by decrease,while the content of MDA and SOD enzyme activity tend to increase.CONCLUSION Under an appropriate simulated drought stress,the seed germination rate and the seedling drought resistance will improve.
