Abstract

Li Shangyin was a predominant poet in the Late Tang Dynasty.He was proficient in presenting his emotional world with mild and roundabout artistic methods,which were characterized in his untitled poems.Poem critics in different dynasties couldn't reach an unanimous judgment over his untitled poems and they tried various ways to interpret these poems.Their arguments continue up to today.Actually,untitled poems do have some certain emotional orientations,represent individual love life as well as an anxiety towards life and his being unrecognized in talents.Seen on the whole,untitled poems express a sense of disillusion.
