Abstract
Micro-arc oxidation(MAO) is a novel technique, which can in-situ form the ceramic coatings on the surfaces of some non-ferrous metals. With dense structure, high adhesion and excellent integrated mechanical property, the ceramic coatings can be obtained on surfaces of aluminums and its alloys by MAO.Based on the papers on MAO technology published in this area of domestic and international development, the basic principle of the technique and the growth low of the coating are introduced. The influences of process on the growth and properties of the coatings are summarized. It was pointed out a outlook of the application and research trend of the technique.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
