Abstract
Dipping sonar system simulation is a key problem in helicopter anti-submarine simulation. By discussing the identification equation of submarine searching, and common characteristics of search methods, a simple mathematic searching model for dipping sonar is given. Furthermore, the anti-submarine warfare based on a single-helicopter and a single-submarine is taken as a typical instance, and the architecture and functional requirement of the system are explored. By creating the underwater acoustical signal database and using DirectSound technology, the real-time audio signal is synthesized, and real-time three-dimensional sound effect is implemented. Since a suitable data structure is significant to sonar data processing, the space-matrix algorithm is introduced. So far the simulation system has been put into practice, simulation test shows that the simulator provides a deeper insight into the synthesis tactical training.
