Today foreign researchers have begun to study lens regeneration. After lens extraction, the non lens cells in eyes begin to transdifferentiate into lens cells and lens fibers to shape a normal lens;The non lens cells in culture also may change into lens alike bodies. Lens regeneration can avoid many complications of the common lens operations,so it may become an ideal way to cure cataract.So we summarize the tissues which can change into lens, culture medium,genes and factors expressed in the process of lens regeneration and other factors influencing lens regeneration.
