Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical application value of ultrasound-guided selective pregnancy reduction. Methods:Ultrasound-guided selective multifetal pregnancy reduction in second trimester was performed in 43 cases,including 12 cases for abnormal fetuses. Results:Total 46 case-times of selective pregnancy reduction were performed in 43 pregnant women, the successful rate in first time was 95.3%(41/43); the successful rate in second time was 100%. All 43 cases had delivered,in which 24 cases delivered after 36 weeks, 14 case between 32 and 36 weeks, 3 cases between 28 and 32 weeks, 2 cases before 28 weeks(abortion). Among the 43 cases, 38 women had delivered 56 healthy newborns. The successful pregnancy rate was 88.39%.Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided selective multifetal pregnancy reduction is a simple, accurate, safe, effective and minimal invasive technique. It provided a new method to manage multifetal pregnancy.
